JoCo DC Visits the Homeless

The Why?

We have always, our whole married life, helped those that didn’t have. Ray used to keep nabs in his truck in case he ran into someone hungry. We have taken in people until they could get on their feet. I was brought up that we didn’t have much, but you help people with what you have.

What We Do

We reach out to the homeless communities every Thursday evening, providing food and encouragement. We also distribute tents, tarps, sleeping bags, hygiene products and clothing as needed.

Once a quarter we gather our homeless neighbors to our home. Here they can get a shower and enjoy a hot meal with our volunteers.
